Jakec

The best known and closest excursion starting point for the inhabitants of Velenje is Jakec, located on the south edge of the Šalek Valley and has two images. On the north side above the Gorenje factory it is forested, however, on the south side it is planted with vineyards and fruit gardens.
At the top we are greeted by St. James' Church (Sv. Jakob) from the year 1583 and also the memorial tablet to the SKOJ conference in the year 1939.
